What is E-visa to Cambodia?

Do I need a visa for Cambodia? That is the first question you should ask yourself when planning a trip there. And the answer is yes. It is always necessary to obtain a visa to travel to Cambodia. Cambodia is a country with a fascinating history and lots of interesting places to visit. Keep reading to discover easy ways to get a visa for Cambodia.

How To Process The Visa For Cambodia

The easiest way to obtain a visa for Cambodia is to proceed it through the internet. The main advantage of the eVisa is that you will not have to queue to get the visa at the airport. If you arrive by a land border, you have to queue for processing a visa. However, with the eVisa, it is much faster.

You only need a passport with more than 6 months of validity (the day you enter the country), a digital photo card and a credit card.

The electronic visa for Cambodia allows you a single entry into the country for up to 30 days. It is valid for 3 months since it is approved, so request it a couple of months before the trip at the earliest.

It takes 5 minutes to fill out the form to request eVisa with your personal data. You will also have to upload the passport photo and indicate the expected date of entry and the border of entry. Once you fill in all the information, you must pay online $ 36 to complete the visa application for Cambodia.

In a maximum of three working days, you will receive a PDF with the eVisa in the email you indicated. It only remains to print the document and carry it with your passport when entering Cambodia. The officer will stamp your passport and staple a small paper that you will have to deliver when you leave the country.

Tips for processing the electronic visa of Cambodia

The Cambodia eVisa is valid to enter through the airports of Siem Reap or Phnom Penh and the mainland borders with Thailand, Vietnam and Laos.

If you still do not have a clear date of arrival in Cambodia, we recommend you indicate the nearest date. If you arrive later than expected nothing will happen. However, you will be in trouble if you enter a day earlier than indicated in the eVisa.

How to process several eVisas at once

When filling in all the data, you will see a screen to review them. Below the screen, you will see a button to add an additional eVisa request. You can use it if you travel in a group and want to pay all visas at once. You can proceed up to 10 visas in the same application. Once you submit the form, you will have to pay the $ 36 fee for each person.

After payment, click on “Complete the application now”. Here, you have to upload a passport photo (you can do it with your mobile, on a white background or by scanning a passport photo).

It depends on the country for which you require the visa, we will ask for other types of data. Sometimes, we ask you for a scanned passport page.

Processing the visa to Cambodia with our website has no mystery. This is because you have a support chat 24 hours a day, in case you have any questions.

What To Present On Arrival In Cambodia Immigration

As I said, when processing the electronic Cambodia visa, you will get what is known as the "electronic visa certificate". You must print them into 2 copies: You will have one copy to present upon arrival in the country and the other when you leave.

If you have processed the e-visa to Cambodia, you can go through another row of immigration, much faster and without having to do paperwork. Therefore, when you reach the border crossing, you should not go to the general immigration queue unless it is the e-visa queue.

If you are going to enter Cambodia by land, keep in mind that e-visa is only allowed (at least in 2019) at these points of entry: Poi Pet, Bavet, Cham Yeam and Tropaeng Kreal (Stung Treng).

That’s it. We wish you enjoy your trip to Cambodia and the temples of Angkor, true jewel of world archaeology.
