Step by step to get eTA for Sri Lanka
Although this is a simple and quick process, I recommend that you request your authorization at least one week before travel.
When we took our permits, it did not take even 24 hours to receive letters of approval. However, it is always good to resolve this bureaucratic part a little in advance. The only thing you need to process your tourist visa or eTA is your passport. This must have more than 6 months of validity and several free pages.
# 1 Requesting ETA
To apply for ETA, you need to go to our website, choose each of the options we will list in sequence:
- Click on “ Apply ”
- Read the terms and conditions and click " I agree "
- On the left side of the page choose: Tourist ETA - Apply for an individual
- Complete the form (in English) with your personal information
- We also have a translation of the page to other languages, so don’t worry about your English.
- Confirm your details - pay close attention to the name, passport number, shipping dates and document validity.
# 2 Payment
Payment for Sri Lanka eTA may only be made by PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, or American Express credit cards.
Our website uses the MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa security codes. Therefore, every payment you will do is encrypted and protected. Once you have done with the payment, the only thing left is to wait for our confirmation of approval.
# 3 Receipt of Approval Letter
At the same time you submit the request, you will receive an email confirming the submission. About 10 minutes later, you will receive the letter of approval by email! You won’t realize it will be so fast!
Caution: Don't forget to print the letter of approval you will receive by email. Without it, airline authorities may prevent you from boarding to Sri Lanka.
